At the beginning of a new season we are often tempted to
pack away our clothes that no longer align to the weather conditions. It makes
sense to do this especially if we want to make room for our new season
purchases. BUT what if you have some pieces in your wardrobe that you just
aren’t quite finished admiring yet? That you love so much, the thought of not
seeing or wearing it for the next 3-6 months truly saddens you. Alternatively, perhaps
your rent and kids’ education tuition are leaving you very little room for any personal purchases for at least the next 3 months.
For the first time this year, I didn’t say a temporary
goodbye to my entire summer wardrobe. In fact, I combined much of my summer
wardrobe with my winter pieces. I’m all about maximising the wardrobe I have
and getting my money’s worth so this year I refuse to allow the bone chilling winds deter me, nor am I putting my
hand up for the flu either. I am simply going to layer my outfits, think a
little outside the square and make some of my summer wardrobe work for me
during winter.

Team your maxi skirt or maxi dress with a chunky knit. It’s a “boho” inspired look that is very much on trend this season. Super comfy too!

A black strapless can spice up your office attire... and a long sleeve basic underneath your LBD gives you another winter office option.

So before you pack away the rest of your summer wardrobe, consider turning your seasonal items into trans-seasonal pieces that you can wear all year round… especially if it’s one of your favourites.
